Application Process & InstructionsHow To Apply
EBSCO Community Impact utilizes online grants management system, Foundant. All stages of our grant process will be submitted online. Grantees will have the ability to draft, save, and submit online as well as upload documents and reports, such as budgets and financial information. Below you will find the steps to our process along with other helpful information.
All applicants are required to create an account. At the time of registration, you are required to enter the following information:
- a username that is an email address
- your contact information
- your organization’s information, including the EIN/Tax ID number
- contact information for the organization’s Executive Officer
You do not have to wait to create an account. You may do it now in anticipation of applying in the future. This will help avoid last-minute issues in advance of the deadline to apply. Should you have issues setting up your account, please contact Jill Phillips at jphillips1@ebsco.com or click the button below to watch a video about how to create an online account.
Application Process
Step 1: Submit A Letter Of Intent
Use the link above to reach the log in page. Once you have logged in click apply on the menu bar. You will see available information for open cycles. Once you have submitted your LOI you will receive a confirmation e-mail. Refer to Dates to Remember on our Home page for the timeframe within which you can expect to hear from us.
Step 2: Response
LOIs received will receive a response by the date noted in the Dates to Remember section of the Home page. Every LOI submitted will receive a response. If you do not hear from us by the dates posted, please contact us.
Step 3: Application
This stage in the process will only be open to those who have received an approval response based on their LOI submission.
Step 4: Review
During this stage of the process, we may contact you regarding a site visit or questions we may have about your proposal. We may also contact organizations close to our meeting date to receive an update on fundraising activities. Every organization may not be contacted. Whether or not you are contacted is not a reflection on your proposal or organization.
Step 5: Decision
All final funding decisions are made by the Family Giving Committee of EBSCO Community Impact. You will be notified by e-mail of their decision and the follow-up steps needed.
Step 6: Grant Agreement
Once a grant has been awarded the Grant Agreement will need to be reviewed and signed electronically through the online grants system.
Step 7: Reporting
We know you’re busy, so we’ve made reporting straightforward. You may submit the Grantee Status Report through Foundant, anytime in the nine months following. We always look forward to hearing about the effectiveness of the grants awarded. We understand that things don’t always go as planned, and we encourage you to share what’s not working as well. We’re here to support your organization in finding solutions.
If you have any questions or feedback on how we can improve, please feel free to contact us.
Be sure to review the Dates to Remember prior to applying. Please note – the application portal will not be accessible outside of grant cycles.
